Obera is a Veterans Administration verified Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) and its Quality Management System is registered under ISO9001:2015.
We maintain current DDTC registrations as an ITAR-compliant exporter and broker. Our accounting system is approved by the Defense Contract Audit Agency and enables Obera to perform Cost-Reimbursable as well as Time & Material and other USG contracts.
Delivering innovative solutions in remote and austere locations, Obera supports capacity-building, security assistance, sustainment operations, and other international initiatives to enhance security and improve lives for people around the world.
In broad mission goals there is clarity: to properly train and integrate mission-essential solutions, strengthen host nations’ capacity for drug interdiction, to bring power to a remote community, to enhance peace keeping operations. Objectives may be easily understood, however solutions themselves are often complex and require a partner with local knowledge and experience in delivering logistics, systems development, sustainment operations, and training services in a client’s area of operations.
Founded in 2003, Obera specializes in four lines of business – Supply Chain Management, Security Assistance, Sustainment Operations, and Information Management – and provides government and commercial customers the local and international expertise and functional support needed to accomplish security assistance and capacity-building missions in challenging environments around the globe.
We have proven past performance supporting Department of State, Department of Defense (DTRA, CENTCOM, SOUTHCOM, AFRICOM, NORTHCOM), USAID, partner nations, and commercial companies internationally. Our team prides itself on delivering cost-effective solutions based on best practices reﬁned over decades of military and corporate leadership experience. Based in Herndon, Virginia, Obera maintains branch offices in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso supporting our West Africa Operations and Bogota, Colombia supporting our SOUTHCOM AoR operations. We have operational experience in over 60 countries.
